IMAP Games

With flash gone, I was given the task of recreating some games to run natively in browsers!

TL;DR: I have game design and development skills, graphic skills, and a strong understanding of project management and design processes! Games will be available in 2025. Learn about IMAP here.

Modernizing Old Games

States of Matter Now

In States of Matter, players explore the different states of matter by adding or subtracting energy from a beaker of water. The old game fit the aesthetic of flash games, but with the new one, we wanted the game to fit IMAP's branding, following NASA's style guides. We used their fonts as well as IMAP orange to emphasize words like "plasma". We also used typographic hierarchy to make it easier to understand and read the purpose and rules of the game (since both are on the same screen).

Using GameMaker Studio 2

I was lucky enough to take classes at the NYU Game Center in 2020, where I created my own digital game. We used GameMaker Studio 2, which was perfect for the simple 2D games I wanted to create as well as this project. (You can check out my game here.) With GameMaker Studio 2, I could easily create objects, sprites, and interactions between the two to make the game responsive.

Stay tuned to learn more about IMAP and the other games I've created.
